CBR is re-inventing the pro life movement with cutting edge projects like the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) and the Reproductive Choice Campaign (RCC). As reported in last month’s update, Operation Rescue acquired one of our large billboard trucks. Since that time CBR Midwest has equipped an Ohio Pastor and his church with a “Choice” Truck to display the images of abortion in his area of the state. Recently, Pastor Bill Dunfee of New Beginnings Ministries in Warsaw, OH began operations. Pastor Bill was convinced that CBR method of education was best after he saw our truck in action in his own town.
CBR Midwest installed the signs for Pastor Bill and has given him the use of our truck for as long as he can keep it on the road. Pastor Bill said, “There is no better way to get the message out that than the use of graphic abortion images. We thank CBR Midwest for the generous assistance in helping us make a difference in our own community.”

CBR Midwest is a team player. We will work with anyone who wants to stop the killing. The only restriction for cooperation is if the group or individual refuses to condemn the use of force against abortionists.

Thanks to your prayers and gifts we are able to help warriors like Pastor Bill Dunfee.

CBR Midwest Partners to Save Lives Where the Killing Takes Place

We are often asked, “Why can’t all the pro life groups work together?” The answer is: “We can!” CBR Midwest is doing our part to work together with other groups and individuals to save lives. Joint ventures are important to our overall strategy. We understand we cannot win the war over abortion on our own—we need each other. Ps 133:1, 3 says “How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity … for there the Lord commanded the blessing.” When possible, CBR Midwest forges relationships with other groups to accomplish a specific task. Sometimes that involves taking action to influence the decisions of those involved in a crisis pregnancy.

One year ago, CBR Midwest secured a contract with Clear Channel Outdoor advertising to install a pro life billboard over one the most prolific killing centers in the Columbus area—Capital Care Women’s Center. Our strategic partners have included the local Crisis Pregnancy Center, several local churches, and a local physician.

One of our partners, Jeffrey Silleck, Executive Director for the Pregnancy Decision Health Centers, recently wrote “Billboards have brought in 36 clients to our centers so far this year. Billboards are one area where we can let the public know where we are and how to reach us in their time of need. Billboards do nothing less than save lives.”

Please Help Us Keep This Billboard Saving Lives

CBR Midwest just signed another agreement for the billboard over Capital Care. We need to raise another $1000.00 to keep our commitment to saving babies at this facility. Please help.

Your gift of $500 keeps the billboard saving lives 24/7 for 45 days. Your donation of $250.00 will demonstrate the preciousness of life to abortion minded parents 24/7 for 22 days. We would hate to have to take down this strong witness for life because of lack of finances. Your gift of any size is helpful. Together we can spare parents and their pre-born children the trauma of abortion.

“Prevention First” Act is a Misnomer

On Wednesday May 30, 2007 pro abortion state legislators and activists held a press conference to introduce the so-called Ohio Prevention First Act (House Bill 251, Senate Bill 179). Supposedly, these bills are designed to reduce the number of unplanned pregnancies and abortions in Ohio. Nationally, there is pressure to offer these types of bills as an attempt to find “common ground” in reducing abortions. Don’t be misled by the rhetoric. These bills have little to do with prevention and more to do with dividing the pro life vote in preparation for the 2008 presidential election.

The National and Ohio “Prevention First” Act Promotes Chemical Abortions by:

  • Requiring insurance plans to cover abortifacient birth control (chemical abortion).
  • Requiring pharmacies to violate their conscience policies if they choose not to
    dispense abortifacients.
  • Allowing pharmacists to dispense abortifacient birth control without a prescription.
  • Pushing abortifacient birth control on teenagers as part of “comprehensive sex education.”

CBR Midwest opposes abortion in all of its forms both chemical and surgical. However, we do support efforts to reduce abortions. Having said that, there is no evidence that funding increased access to birth control reduces surgical abortions. In fact, California and New York have the best records of providing birth control, but also have some of the highest surgical abortion rates. Also, half of the women who commit abortions were using birth control and still became pregnant. What makes legislators think that if the other half were using birth control devices and chemicals, they wouldn’t still need surgical abortions?

Teaching youngsters that they can have sex without consequences will inevitably lead to an increase in STD’s and abortions. Let your state legislator, Senator, and Representatives know how you feel about forcing taxpayers to fund immoral behavior.

Please be vigilant by helping us hold the line against pro-abortion public policy by contributing financially to CBR Midwest.

More Fruit From the CBR Mailbag

I am 9 weeks pregnant and being pressured into an abortion. After seeing your site there is no way I can go through with it.
— 25 year old female from Australia

I thought of myself as pro-choice until visiting this website for a research paper on the subject. Now, I do not feel the same.
— 28 year old female from Houston, TX

I had always been pro-choice even though I could never have had an abortion. As a nurse, I refused to ever even consider
assisting with one. However, in the last 10 years I have changed to pro-life. These pictures finally made up my mind.
— 44 year old female from Terre Haute, IN

My husband wanted me to get an abortion at 12 weeks, but I couldn't do it. This website has helped me with not even considering abortion. — 18 year old female from San Diego, CA
CBR never tires of these reports—I hope you don’t either. Sadly, most of Christendom continues to “pass by the other side” refusing to face its responsibility to end this atrocity. Since we don’t have the institutional church helping us we must fix our hope on unconventional methods to reach Americans and the world. We need your help to continue to identify new workers and supporters because the pulpit remains mostly closed to the message. Please pass the word to your friends about the work of CBR Midwest.

Help us reach women like this one before it is too late:

I had a abortion on 2/7/07 when I was 6 weeks pregnant. I felt very bad after that and have been searching these facts on the internet. I wish I had seen this earlier. — 35 years old female from Cherry Hill, NJ.

CBR Midwest can train more young people, hire more workers, and be more places only with your help. Please sacrifice for the babies. Future generations will judge us based on our response to this crisis.

Important: Remember to write “GMO” (stands for Gift Midwest Office) in the memo portion of your check in order for the funds to be deposited in the CBR Midwest operations fund.
